Abstract
This paper presents a historical case study of All India Radio Leh and its role in preserving and promoting Ladakhi language and culture. Drawing on prior research, historical documents, and case material, it shows how the station blended traditional oral storytelling with modern radio technology to sustain Ladakhi identity through local-language programming, folk music, and festival coverage, while also examining challenges such as limited technology and globalization that the station continues to navigate.
